At the Montpellier Plant Phenotyping Platforms in LEPSE, 101 strains of B. distachyon are grown in controlled environmental conditions in the PHENOPSIS platform, both in well-watered and water deficit conditions. Different tools are developed and tested to analyse B. distachyon shoot growth rate and architecture.

The expected significant variation among the strains will be used for attributing certain genes with those differences. The product of this analysis will be a list of candidate genes that we will subsequently test for function in the University of Massachusetts.
